SITA SINGS THE BLUES
I wanted to watch this movie ever since reading the NYT article a few months ago (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/15/movies/15roch.html?scp=1&sq=sita%20sings%20the%20blues&st=cse).
I finally got to see it tonight! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfS2p1vFics&feature=PlayList&p=422DA8C3B574D836&index=0&playnext=1).
Nina Paley, the creator, cites freedom of speech issues as a motivating factor for her work.  What I find even more interesting is how tied some of those issues are to creative non-fiction, especially the recent growth of memoir.
